It has been extremely cold here lately and as a result the birds have been coming to the feeder with a vengeance. Yesterday morning while they were busy flitting about I happened to notice something much larger than the average housecat or dog that occasionally appears on the hill behind us...it was a deer! Now this is no unusual sight here in north Georgia but for me living in the suburbia of an apartment complex it was quite an exciting moment. There is a wide swath of woods that is between us and the road and presumably that is where he is residing for the time being. I may perhaps need to invest in some corn for him...
