The inevitable has happened: the babies grew up and left the nest! Our poor friends Jereme and Terry are having a terrible case of empty-nest syndrome, but their surrogate babies are peeping and hopping around the bushes nearby. Here is a final poignant picture they captured of one of their little babies mostly grown up. |

As of 5/25, all the new little mockingbirdies are happy and healthy! Their little eyes are starting to open and they do just what every baby bird does best: peep nonstop in expectation of their next morsel! There are new pictures of them in the Mockingbird gallery for all to enjoy! |

All 4 parents (the mockingbirds and the humans) are sooo proud of the 2 new babies who are now here!! We'll keep you posted on the progress of the new babies!! Be sure to take note of just how tiny these babies are! One of the shots has a finger in it which provides perspective on how little they are! Addendum: Make that 3 new babies! We've had another hatch! As of 5/18, all four eggs have hatched and seem healthy. Thanks to Jereme and Terry for posting so many great pics of the babies and both parents! We look forward to seeing more as the babies grow! |
