Nesting at my place of work in Ormond Beach, Florida
6/8/07 - This hedge is right along the edge of the parking lot. I saw them one morning preparing the nest, so got ready to start another Mockingbird Baby project

Their Actual Home
6/11/07 - On Friday June 8, 2007 I first saw the nest. On Monday June 11 the eggs had already arived.

6/12/07 - On my way home on Monday 6/11 I looked at the nest and LO! there were now three eggs. So, the next day when I came in to work I went out and got the picture. Such cute babies. They have their momma's eyes and their daddies beak.

And Then There Were Three
I got a very brief glimpse of the mom on the nest. She hopped off further into the hedge. I am no longer certain the nest is mockingbirds - she seemed too small. But then, Like I said it was a very brief glimpse. It was definitely mockingbirds I saw with nesting materials in the area of the nest. Hopefully mom will get used to me coming by to take a look and stopped flitting away.

Still Triplets - 6/13/07

08 - 6/22/07 Still Waiting the Arrival
Earlier I had mentioned that I was uncertain as to whether the nest was actually the Mockingbirds I had seeing with nesting materials; because of the size of the bird I glimpsed sitting on the nest. However, each time I go to check on progress the one parent shows up - usually in a tree about 20 feet away. This time he/she was on the building because a blackbird had just flown by and a defensive flyby by the parent took place.

09 - 6/22/07 - Mom or Dad Keeps a Watchful Eye
Monday morning breaktime, I go out to check on the nest and Lo!- the kids have arrived!

6/25/07 - The New Family Arrives!!!!
They must be pretty new - they didn't even stir when I moved the branches aside to get the shot.

6/25/07 - Sleepy Heads
As usual Dad, most likely, keeps an eye on my activities. I wonder if I will eventually need a hard hat! Maybe I've proven to be non-threatening over the past couple of weeks.

6/25/07 - Watchful Parent

6/26/07 - One Hungry Mouth Awakens
No activity this visit. So still in fact they had me worried, especially since I didn't see mom or dad around like I usually do.

13 - 6/27/07 Sound Asleep
Not a great picture - aimed a bit low and moved a bit I guess. It's Thursday morning breaktime, picture time. Two up and at-em today. When I came into work at 6:30am, dad? - mom? was sitting on the hedge with breakfast. No picture though. Maybe I'll keep the camera with me just in case.

14 - 6/28/07 - Two Gapping Maws
I decided to go back out during lunch to get another picture. All three were ready for food
